God's Creation
"God saw all that He had made, and behold, it was very good." - Genesis 1:31
Isn't God's creation a wonder to behold? I'm always amazed when I watch the Discovery Channel or a National Geographic special on an in-depth study of an animal I've rarely seen, gaining insight about what makes them unique and how they survive.
Even though God is rarely--if ever--mentioned on these shows, it causes my faith to soar, for I'm reminded that God thought of everything, every little detail in creating this living thing. Everywhere you turn in creation, there's evidence of intelligent design--the work of the Master Artist.
Let me ask you something: When you see a great painting...DaVinci's Mona Lisa, a piece by Van Gogh, or a scene of American life by Norman Rockwell, do you have more awe of the piece of art than of the artist? Not likely. Yet we do this all the time with God's creation. If we honor the creation and forsake the Creator, we miss everything. The best way to appreciate creation is to know and appreciate the Creator.

Yes, God is rarely mentioned. Makes me think of Heaven where we will be praising God all the time...no PC police.
From Erik on Nov 18th:
What about if you see a painting that is crude and ugly? Who do you blame more, the painting or the painter?
From Janice on Nov 18th:
Erik, I prayed for you this morning as I was praying for my other unsaved friends. As for your question, if I saw a painting that was truly disgusting and not honoring of God's creation then I would most likely think the artist was under the influence of Satan. For me, life is too short to engage in media that promotes the ugliness and perversion that some like to wallow in. This morning I heard a bird song and I immediately thought, "That is from God. God made that bird." It is a good way to live to be cognizant of Who is behind the beauty in the world and to be thankful to Him. I pray your day will be filled with moments of taking in the beauty of God's creation and you will realize that He is showing you His love through that beauty and through giving you eyes to behold it. Blessings everyone!
From Judy on Nov 18th:
The "Creation Moments" daily 2-minute radio broadcast with host Ian Taylor. Each program features scientific evidences of nature that points to design, not evolutionary chance.
I highly recommend this program.
From Grant on Nov 18th:
There is "ugliness" in our world. The violence, hatred, perversions, moral atrocitices, et al, are the result of man's fall from grace. Our nature is one of sin and disobedience.
The "ugliness" of disease, violent natural events, and accidents that cause death or pain are simply a part of the creation. The creator formed a violent universe in that sense, and we are "just passing through". Our final destination is an eternal one, and depends on how we react to message we have been fully given by scripture, the prophets, and ultimately God/Son/Holy Spirit himself. We can return to grace through faith, and that by grace.
Those who don't believe that are free to enjoy this life and reap its rewards and its pain. What happens after this life will be between them and God, just as it is for those who believe.
