Nothing is Impossible Sep 29 2008

"For nothing is impossible with God." - Luke 1:37

Jesus born of a virgin? Many sophisticated minds classify such claims as preposterous, right alongside other legends and myths. The virgin birth may seem like a tabloid headline: "Teenage Virgin Claims God is the Father." A virgin birth does make a good story, but it is often impossible for a rational person to accept.

But think about what it means if you do accept the virgin birth. It means you believe that nothing is impossible with God. Right now, you may be facing some real trials and struggles in your life and see no possible way to deal with those issues. If you can believe in the virgin birth, you can easily come to the realization that nothing is impossible with God! There is no problem, there is no hardship; there is no difficulty that is too tough for God.

Realize that if you choose not to believe in the virgin birth you're going to miss out on the true nature of Jesus Christ. Because if Jesus was not born of a virgin, the only conclusion you can draw is that he was just a man - a good man, but just a man. If you reject the virgin birth, you have chosen to believe in a mighty small God. But our God resurrected a man from the dead, so what's the big deal about a virgin birth? Remember, nothing is impossible with God.

This is the truth but ONLY if you truly believe and in turn can derive strength from that belief of something more devine. Anything is possible with faith. Amen

One of the foundatioins of our faith is that Jesus was born of the Viirgin Mary. I truly believe this is so. Just look at her beautiful face. She is the strength of all women and Jesus is the one and only Lord and Savior. Amen

Who are we that we should be able to limit with our thoughts and words what God can do? God speaks and it happens. We can do nothing except that the power of God works through us or in cases when we sin He allows it to happen. Nothing is impossible with God, certainly not the birth of Jesus through the virgin Mary. As Jesus was birthed so was new hope for humanity. God is awesome in all His glorious acts! May we all praise Him for the wonderful things He has done!

I think the problem with most believers is a problem that I admit I have. I believe that Jesus was born of a virgin, but I have a problem believing that God would do something as amazing for me. I bleieve, but I have a h ard time believing that He would do it for me. Like the man shose son Jesus healed, I need to say, Lord, I belief, help my unbelief.

Jag, how honest you are! God loves it when we are honest with him and admit our weakness. You are just human like the rest of us. But if in the beginning was God only and then He created out of nothing everything, how could we have any problem believing he could continue creating from something. Wine from water, a healthy body from a sick body, a baby from just a woman, life after death and best of all a new heart out of an unbelieving heart! It is the greatest miracle of all!

To a born again believer it is not a problem believing in the virgin birth, we had to, to be born again. What is hard for me to believe is when people sees the impact God has on our everyday life and still won't believe in him. The air we breath every second is a miraculous gift from God, yet we accept it because we need it. I don't believe in luck at all yet when things seem to happen, just in time people call it luck. With God all things are possible, we are so blessed to have such a loving God. Go ask buddah or mohammed to do something for his followers and see what they will receive, nothing, that is what they will get. How can a god or a prophet that can't give its followers something they ask for, tell its followers to blow themselves up and kill innocent victims? Yet people will call these "dieties" and serve tham rather than serve God. It beats all I have ever seen. Anyways have a Blessed day

I guess for me the only mystery about the virgin birth is the mystery of how some people can begin to question how God has the ability to do such a thing, seeing how He CREATED THE UNIVERSE. Sorry, don't mean to be sarcastic, but I kind of think He can do whatever he wants to do since he was the designer to begin with.

In the beginning was the Way. In the beginning was the Truth. In the beginning was the Life. In the beginning was the Word. I agree with all of you. God is God. Nothing is impossible for Him.
