Deceit

"He is a shield to those who walk in integrity." - Proverbs 2:7

In the movie Liar, Liar, Jim Carey starred as the profane attorney who was incapable of not lying for an entire day after his son made a birthday wish that his dad would stop lying.

Lying has become a pervasive problem. Have you fallen into the habit?

It seems that today's "me first" mindset places very little value on honesty and personal integrity. Truth is sacrificed on the altar of self-advancement. At the time, you may think that lying will make your life easier, but one lie almost always requires another and another and another. You have to remember everything you said to keep from confusing your lies.

But when you tell the truth, you don't have to remember what you said. That makes life a lot less complicated!

Which life have you created for yourself?

There's only one way to break the bondage of a lie, and that's with the truth. Seek to live with integrity and honesty and you'll find new freedom for living.

How? The truth is found in Jesus Christ. Find Him, and find the truth, the power, and strength to become a person of integrity.

You lie,k you fry I always say. But if you lie, you must repent of that lie and lie no more. That is what the Bible teaches. All liers will have their part in the Lake of Fire, unless they repent and lie no more. - Larry

It is becoming very common for people to lie for some reason. I still remember when someones word was their bond. Today you need to get them to sign a contract to get someone to do what they know they should do. I have a way to find out when people lie. If someone should miss a church service I will go ask their children where they were at first then I will ask the parents, you will be surprised who will lie to you today. Little children will usually tell you the truth unless they know they will get in trouble then they will follow the path of their parents. God forgive us for the way we have regressed from you. - Jerry Barrett
