In the light of all that Jesus is, it is wonderful to know that he calls me His friend. - Leon Chechowich

Jesus' birth name is Yeshua. Yeshua is a Hebrew name. It means "salvation".

- Matthew 1:21 - Dwayne

Dwayne is correct. But I would hasten to add that Yoshua (or possibly Yo'hoshua) was not only Jesus' birth name but His regular walking around name too. It's interesting to me that Jesus' REAL NAME was not included in this list. - Erik

The only name you didn't name is His given name why is that. Yeshua is His given name why would you not at least include it. Jesus is not his given name the letter "J" has only been around for little more than 500 years. That is the name we christians gave Him. - Mike Crews

Don't miss the greater point. There are other names that could be listed, so I don't think this was intended to be a comprehensive list. However, Christ is the Alpha and Omega and everything in between. Step back, and think about how each name of Christ effects your salvation and the relationship you have with Him. - Josh Beasley
