Noise
"Give ear and hear my voice, listen and hear my words." - Isaiah 28:23
Have you ever noticed how noise fills our lives? We wake to music or alarms. We get in the car and what's the first thing we do--slip in a tape, CD, or turn on the radio. When we walk into the house or a hotel room, the first thing we do is turn on the TV. It seems that, with noise, we just don't feel so alone.
In the midst of all of this noise, are you missing the most important voice of all?
God still speaks in a still, small voice. In the busyness and noisiness of our lives, it's easy to miss Him. The only way to hear Him is to make an intentional effort to quiet the noise of our lives and spend some time listening, through prayer and reading His Word. You will never get a more important phone call or crucial message.
Find some time each day to be alone and quiet, and listen to the most important voice of all. It will enrich your life tremendously

Praise the Lord for this devotion. I look forward to it each morning at my office after being in busy traffic. What a way to start the day, and to say thank you Lord, for bringing me safely to work. I can look back in the quietness of the morning rays, and listen to the voice of the Lord in response to my prayers. In giving me directions for the day, and in just hearing His still small voice. This is so enriching to me. God bless you Bryant and especially to my new found commentators of this beautiful devotional segment. I look forward to seeing all your names each morning. - rocky
This devotion brought to mind the Christmas carol, Silent Night, Holy Night. What wonders God transpires in the quiet stillness. Psalm 46:10, "Be still and know that I am God..." - Janice
I just added this Daily Devotion to my facebook and so this one is the first one that I have ever read and already I am eager to wake up and read tomorrow's. This devotion could not be more true. We as humans tend to get caught up in everyday life and forget about the most important aspect of all and that is God and all that he is and does. Everyone just needs to give themselves some quiet time throughout the day where they can communicate one on one with God. - Brandon Sneed
