I Will Comfort You May 23 2012

"I, even I, am he who comforts you. Who are you that you fear mortal men, the sons of men, who are but grass..." - Isaiah 51:12

Does this sound familiar? Corporate downsizing. Mortgage foreclosures. Losing everything. Rebellious teenagers. An unfaithful spouse. A devastating illness. Life often brings trouble our way. Sometimes we are so overwhelmed, we struggle to merely stay afloat. And as awful as they are, these difficult times of trouble shouldn't come as a big surprise to students of the Bible. Jesus Christ said in John 16:33, “In this world you will have problems.” That doesn’t sound like a very optimistic outlook, does it? But wait! That's not all! Are you listening? He goes on to say, “But take heart! I have overcome the world.” Read each of those words separately. Savor the real meaning of each one. I. Have. Overcome. The. World. I will comfort you.

Trouble. Difficulty. Crisis. These things are a reality in this life. But Jesus Christ promises us that He has provided comfort and victory over those things which cause us so much pain. Trusting in Him is the key to overcoming these problems.

Go back and read those words again. I have overcome. I will comfort you. Why not evaluate your present struggles from a Biblical perspective—from Christ’s perspective? You have nothing to lose and everything to gain!

I have yet to experience any of His Promises to overcome the setbacks of this life.

I also understands that time is the actual factor that overcomes everything n not what the Bible Promises.

GM! I use to be tormented with life unpleasant circumstances until I grabbed a hold of the LIVING WORD, and plant it into my heart. Romans 8:28, And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are called according to his purpose. It's not about me are anything else. It is all about JESUS Christ, the LIVING WORD!

There are lives in this world that seem to be almost all suffering. But suffering and blessings come in many forms, and we all experience "seasons" in our life. Most people are very good at remembering all the suffering, but take blessings for granted. I know that is true of me. It takes a conscience effort and much prayer to keep it all in perspective.

I just wanted to say that any time i have been in a pickle, i find keeping my thoughts foused of the things of God. Not looking at where i am in my trouble, but remebering all the times He has helped me threw every sisuation. And i begin to see the threw nature of God. that He do care for everything that happens to us in our life time, big or small...He is faithful...
