Obey Christ No Matter What The Cost? May 19 2012
"But Peter and the apostles answered, 'We must obey God rather than men.'" - Acts 5:29
The preeminent concern of a Christian is to obey God. We do this because we trust Him and love Him. And if we’re put in a situation where that earthly authority is pressuring us to disobey the command of God, we have a decision to make: to obey earthly law or God’s law. That’s what civil disobedience is all about. But there’s a spirit in which to do it. You know, one of the reasons that Martin Luther King, Jr. was such an amazing man is that when he was arrested for disobeying man’s immoral laws on segregation, he was willing to pay the price. He recognized if we’re going to disobey government authorities, no matter how corrupt it may be, we’ve got to be willing to pay the penalty.
If you, as a Christian, are called to obey God and disobey some earthly authority, don’t be moaning and groaning, demanding your rights and talking about how unfair it is! Accept it! Rejoice in it! We’re not to be angry with those who are unjustly treating us, we’re to love them. We’re to forgive them. Our whole demeanor and spirit is to be different, and this is what gets the attention of the world! They will begin to realize you are really serious about following Jesus! That’s what God wants us to do and that’s how He wants us to respond.

Yes, report it Nevermindeh?, this is complicated. I for one am going to be angry against ungodliness (the people) and will not forgive anyone unless they repent. They can come back 70x7 and I will forgive them if wisdom tells me too but unless they come back I will not forgive. The Church is confused about this and not representing the right standards of God. accountable

Yes, report it NevermindIt is interesting that the Christian faith is dying in the West, where we're free to practice our faith, but people risk torture and death for their faith in the 3rd world.
It is possible that costly obedience to God is the best evangelical tool? Do others come to respect your faith when they see you persecuted for it? ML King certainly thought so.
Based on the patterns of Christian growth in teh world today, it appears he was right.

Yes, report it NevermindExcept for John all the disciples were murdered. The reason believers in America are not is because we don't rightly judge ungodliness or confront it. There is a deceptive teaching that leads people to believe that God will do this or that so we don't need to do anything. Just wait on God. Hello? Jesus left and He passed the baton on to us to stand against ungodliness and to fight against it. We need to get angry to abhor what is evil and those who do it.

Yes, report it NevermindWhen was the last time the leadership at your Church invited you to go with them to the abortion clinic to try and talk women out of killing their babies? When did the leadership cry out at Church against the President's approval of homosexual marriage?

That was the Day I said no more to me...I will never forget those Gals crying coming out of that Clinic around PDK.

Yes, report it NevermindThe Bible says obedience is better than sacrifice.
If you obey the words of God as it is then be sure to face persecutions. The disciples of Christ were persecuted and even in this present world a lot of christians/believers are being persecuted.
If you love God obey His Words and if you obey His word then be ready for persecution.
Therefore all true believers should be ready for persecution.
However no matter the pesecution you may be facing know that Jesus will strenghten you and you shall overcome in Jesus name.
