God's Secret Revealed Aug 29 2010
"Anyone who has seen me has seen the Father." - John 14:9b
Can you remember a time you saw some friends whispering a secret to one another? Whether this was at the office, a party, at school, or even at church, it is pretty frustrating when others know a secret, while you are in the dark. But I have good news for you today. While God kept the ultimate secret for thousands of years, He has now revealed it - and He wants you to know it. The scripture declares, "That their hearts may be encouraged...and attaining to all the wealth that comes from the full assurance of understanding, resulting in a true knowledge of God's mystery that is," - THIS IS IT- "Christ Himself."
If you want to understand what God is like, look at Jesus. He is the visible image of the invisible God. Christ is the Creator behind all creation. He is our Savior, who has come to rescue us from a spiritual darkness and to give us peace with God. If we want to understand God, look at Jesus. If you want to understand truth, look at Jesus. If you want to understand the answer to life, look at Jesus. This is God's ultimate secret revealed to you - Jesus Christ.

Yes, report it NevermindIf you want to see Jesus look at those around you who reflect Jesus.

Yes, report it NevermindJudy, I kind of agree with you and then again, I Don't. When we look to other people, especially those we look to as role models, we can get lost in all they do. All that anyone does is imperfect. Yet, somehow it disappoints us when they make mistakes. We get discouraged. The only perfect person we are to look to for an example of how to live is Jesus Christ. That is it and you can't go wrong and you will not be disappointed.

Yes, report it NevermindThat is right Eric, but we also need to read on down through the 11th verse. Thanks for the comment

Yes, report it Nevermind"While God kept the ultimate secret for thousands of years..."
I think a little longer than that! Try 4.54 billion years.

Yes, report it NevermindGive it a rest JCO. This site is for those who want to learn and rejoice over our beliefs. Not for you to keep pushing your agenda. RFTH has been very generous with your posts so please respect their site.

Yes, report it NevermindActually, the latest "scientific estimate" is 16+ billion years.
Science is the pursuit of truth. Jesus is the Truth.

Yes, report it NevermindAmen Grant, science changes every so often but God never does. I know those who do not believe don't understand this but I am sure they will find something scientific to soothe their feelings and needs. Have a blessed evening.

Yes, report it NevermindJerry,
You have a precious heart for the Lord and I have been so blessed by your comments. But I think when you respond to JCO by telling him he should not come here if he is going to... whatever you are enabling him to continue the sarcasm and belittling of our precious LORD and SAVIOR JESUS CHRIST. We need to reach out to JCO and Erik in love until they behold the love of Christ and come to know Him as their Savior. We see God drawing them to this devotional site and I will continue to believe that their eyes will eventually be opened to the truth. A blessed and restful sleep for all of you.

Yes, report it NevermindThere can be no doubt about the Earth’s antiquity; the evidence is abundant, conclusive, and readily available to all who care to examine it.
Grant, where did you see this 16+ billion thing?

Yes, report it NevermindThe "age" of the created universe. Of cours you have to believe in time as we know it, and not as God knows it. For God yesterday, today and tomorrow are just concepts he gave us. Even Einsteing said that time is a stubborn illussion.
I believe in God who created what we call time, along with everything else. "In the beginning God..." Once you get that, everything else pretty much is just discovery and revelation. Lastly, it's not about the "stuff" he created; it's about HIM.

Yes, report it NevermindGail, I apoligize to you. I will not make anymore comments to Eric or JCO about their beliefs or disrespect to God's Word or to the hosts of this site. Please forgive me. I have just gotten tired of non-believers berating and walking over Gods children. Just remember Paul himself even said if a man wishes not to love the Lord, then let him be acursed, The Lord is coming. We have tried for a couple of years to debate these two and they have plainly told us that they do not ever intend to believe, so I believe that gives us the right to move on. That is what I will do. Again please forgive me. I will keep praying for them but I will not play games anymore with them.

Yes, report it NevermindThanks Grant. I was talking about the age of the Earth (4.54 billion years) vs the age of the universe (some 14-16 billion years).
Either way, god kept quiet for a looooooooooooooooooong time, if you are to believe what Christianity has to say.

Yes, report it NevermindJerry,
My intention was not to cause you any distress and I ask your forgiveness if I did. I have come to enjoy your postings and have been so often edified by them . When the same people comment frequently, it's like a family. And of course that is what we are, a family in the Body of Christ. My whole point was to pray for these two and not fall prey to their intentional baiting of all of us who walk with the Lord. As a former baiter myself, I know that it is infuriating when you don't get a rise out of the person you are setting up. If you notice, JCO never responds to my comments because I am reaching out to him with the love of Christ. The few times I have responded to his attacks he did come back with a more intense comment. I will not stop saying, however, that I believe these two precious creations of God will be willingly bowing before the Savior and will post a testimony to this fact.
